What platforms does it run on?

Popcorn is a native app for macOS 13 or later. It is not currently available on Windows, iOS, or Android.

Can I bring my history over from another app?

Yes. Import your watch history from IMDB, AniList, or a Letterboxd export, ratings and notes included.

How do the recommendations work?

Suggestions are built from what you have actually rated, not generic popularity. You can permanently wave off any recommendation that misses.

First time opening it?

Popcorn is signed locally rather than through Apple's notarization program. After downloading, try to open it once (it will be blocked), then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click "Open Anyway" next to the Popcorn message. You only need to do this the first time.
